The four-man inspection team from the Confederation of African Football began the first phase of their five-day tour of Ghana by paying a courtesy call on the new Minister of Education, Science and sports today.
After the visit the team proceeded to the Ohene Djan stadium to interact with the stadium construction company, Micheletti & Co. to asses the state and progress of work on the showpiece venue for the 2008 African Cup of Nations.
The visit is the third to be made by the CAF team to Ghana since the country won the rights to host the tournament.
CAF?s director of communications Habuba Suleimana told Joy Sports that the purpose of this visit is to acquaint themselves with the progress of work so far in the country.
