Cambridge likely to miss out on Kwesi Appiah

English Ligue Two side, Cambridge United have admitted that it would be difficult to keep Kwesi Appiah at the club.

The 24-year-old is on-loan at Cambridge from Crystal Palace. Appiah has netted eight goals so far with two weeks to end his stint.

"We are doing everything we can to keep Kwesi. However, there is speculation that there are Championship and League One clubs trying to buy him.

“If that's the case, we're out of the occasion,” Cambridge's chief executive Jez George told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.

Appiah is in his second spell with The U's, after banging in 10 goals in last season's promotion-winning campaign from the Conference.
