Accra, April 3, GNA - The National Chapters Committee (NCC) of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has sent a message of appreciation to the entire Phobian fraternity for the massive support accorded the team that culminated in their superb display at the CAF/MTN Champions League match against St George of Ethiopia at the Obuasi len Clay Sports stadium.
It commended the supporters who supported the team before, during and after the match that ensured the team's victory. Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, Chairman of the NCC in a message of appreciation copied to the GNA said "to those who came from near and far, we say a big 'Ayekoo' for your unwavering belief". It also commended the resident Chapters in Obuasi for their wonderful hosting of the army of supporters of Hearts who descended on the town to cheer the team to victory.
To the gallant players, technical team and Board of Directors and Management, the NCC said "we are proud of you for plotting an astute strategy that overwhelmed St. George as well the timely motivational package that inspired the team to perform the 'The Miracle of Len Clay'. Mr Armstrong- Mortagbe said as the team celebrates this momentous achievement, there is the need for all Phobians to take stock of the two-leg encounter with St Goerge and work hard to ensure that they scale over Etoile Sahel towards the team's qualification to the money zone.
