Former Al Ahly and Ghana striker Felix Aboagye says CAF Champions league campaigners Berekum Chelsea lack organisation in defence, which is the reason for the 1-4 loss to Al Ahly over the weekend.
He told Takoradi-based Skyy Power FM that Chelsea’s defensive frailties have been evident from the start of the CAF Champions League group phase, adding that head coach Hans Van Der Pluym should have organized the team better.
‘Chelsea conceded goals against Zamalek and TP Mazembe and this shows that defensively, the club is not organized. So after the first two games, I expected the coach to have re-organised the defence, since Al Ahly is much stronger than the other two teams.’
Aboagye also told Skyy Power FM that he was not surprised by the result, adding that Al Ahly fully deserved to win.
‘I have played for them before and I know how they play. So I was not surprised by the result because they are a strong team and they fully deserved to win the match.’
