Executive Committee Member of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie, says that plans are far advanced as far as the GFA is concerned for Berekum Chelsea to play their next home matches in the ongoing CAF Champions league at the Brekum Golden City Park.
Chelsea, which was ordered by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) not to use the Golden City Park because it lacked certain facilities are expected to host 6 times Champions Al-Ahly of Egypt in the next two weeks at the Golden City Park.
“It is possible they will play Al-Ahly in Berekum because the last time I checked everything was in other, so I am sure their next home match in Ghana will be in Berekum”, George Afriyie told Skyy TV.
Chelsea will have to defeat the former CAF Champions league holders to realize their dream of qualifying for the CAF Champions league semifinal after they were thrashed 4-1 at the Cairo Military Stadium over the weekend by Al-Ahly.
