Ex-Black Meteors captain Yusif Alhassan Chibsah says Sulley Muntari’s apology must be accepted by the Ghanaians regardless of the timing.

Chibsah believes that regardless of the act, the player’s apology must be accepted since he has seen the need to do it but insisted his call-up into the Black Stars must be Avram Grant’ choice.

The former AC Milan midfielder was suspended from the camp of the Black Stars for attacking a management committee member of the team during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

After two years of suffering the suspension, Muntari has rendered an apology to the Ghana Football Association for his uncultured act.

Many have come to criticize the timing of the letter the former as unacceptable and a prejudice to gaining another grounds for a call up to the national team.

But the former Kotoko and U-23 captain, Yussif Alhassan Chibsah has turned to rebuff that claims suggesting that his call-up back to the national team should be left to Avram Grant.

"As an individual, I'll not support what Sulley did for the mere fact that he threw his hand on and elderly person.

“Apart from that, he has realized he's offended Ghanaians and the football association so we should forgive him," Chibsah said on Angel FM in Kumasi.
