Ghanaian midfielder Yussif Chibsah Raman was part of a group championing the establishment of a mosque in the Italian city of Sassuolo, Goal Ghana can reveal.
The 20-year-old Sassuolo enforcer joined hundreds of Muslims in the area with placards to root for a place of worship.
“In Sassuolo I’d like a place of worship for all!” was the inscription on the placard of the Ghanaian.
The Muslims in the city including Chibsah always gather in the open for Friday prayers since there is no mosque. The City Council has reportedly rejected an idea to build an Islamic place of worship in Sassuolo.
