Ex. Ghana international Kenneth Sarpong wants Ghanaian premier clubs to replicate the investment drive of European teams to resuscitate the standard of Ghana’s premier league.

In a chart from Bronx. U.S.A, he recounted how fans troop to stadiums to catch glimpse of their idol players some years ago. He said lack of investment by clubs is compelling players to leave Ghana league to leagues in Viet Nam, India, Singapore etc which he believes does not auger well for Ghana football.

Sarpong continued by saying , the players who are lured with few dollars to these unknown football leagues fail to shine and most of them end their career in a bizarre circumstance.

The former Hearts of Oak speed star is suggesting to clubs to pay good wages to their players which he thinks will motivate them to stay with the clubs for long .

‘’If clubs fail to keep their best players and allow them to travel outside, the stadiums will continue to be empty’’, he said.
