Former FIFA referee, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo has called on coach David Duncan to resist from mentioning her name as the reason why he still has no premier league title to boast of as that makes him sound like an ignoramus.
Coach Duncan caused controversy yesterday after he revealed during his pre-match interview before hosting his former side, Ashgold as head coach of Kotoko stated Mercy Tagoe had apologized after she allowed a goal stand without the ball crossing the line in a league match against Berekum Chelsea and this saw Aduana Stars crowned champions.
Tagoe-Quarcoo, a former Ghanaian international with the Black Queens has come out all guns-blazing to deny all the claims and in her recent rant called David Duncan an ‘ignorant’ of the law of the game.
She said, “Sometimes ignorance creates so much problem, Duncan is a brother to me right from the on-set but I don’t know what his school of thought really is?”
She added, “when he’s quizzed during his presser on why he has no league title, immediately my name pops up in his brain. David Duncan is well-educated and should know better than this. I don’t need to say things to hurt him as I love him as a brother and nothing else.”
