Ghana Premier League side Wa All Stars have appointed Jimmy Cobblah as new head coach for the rest of the season, footy-Ghana.com can confirm.
The relatively known coach joins from Division One side Danbort FC where he has excelled with Middle League play-off berths in successive seasons.
Footy-Ghana is informed that the new coach who replaces resigned long-serving coach Nurudeen Ahmed was introduced to his players prior to the club’s 3-0 defeat at the hands of Gomoah-based Feyenoord Academy in the MTN FA Cup over the weekend.
Coach Cobblah takes over for the rest of the season and has been tasked to save the fortunes of the club lying 10th on the Ghana Premier League log before securing a permanent contract.
Wa All Stars have had quite a difficult first half of the season winning 5 games, drawn thrice and suffered 7 games – a results trend which compelled Coach Nuru Ahmed to quit after 7 seasons of service at the Wa-based club.
