Ghanaian international coach, Moses Cofie who has signed a two year deal with

Sudanese

club El Nisoor Sporting Club, a premiership side in Khartoum has urged the

Black Stars never to fear or underrate their opponents at the 2014 FIFA World

Cup, but goo all out and reach the ultimate prize.

Speaking to yours truly, Moses Cofie who played for Ghanaian

teams, Accra Great Olympics, Liberty Professional and Accra Hearts of Oak

before moving to Nigeria, Togo and Sudan to continue his career said

tournaments are different from league matches and players must be focused and

very intelligent on the field.

The football star who was called into the national teams of Ghana

and Togo before retiring splaying at the highest level in the game of football

is not a joke and the players who will represent the nation must be prepared to

die and win.

The former midfielder with good eyes for goals told yours truly he

knows the capabilities of Ghanaian players and believes they can win the World

Cup if they are motivated.

“It was motivation that helped the team to bear the Pharaohs of

Egypt 6-1 in Kumasi and I know they can qualify from the group stage. We are in

a strong group with Germany, USA and Portugal. They are strong football nations

and we will learn how to beat them squarely. I know we will qualify by all

means. We shall beat USA and Portugal. Germany is a strong nation so we can

draw with them and move on to the next stage of the competition” he noted.

“I strongly feel in my heart that Ghana will beat Portugal with

Christian Ronaldo leading them. With players like Michael Essien, Sully Muntari,

Harrison Afful and Kevin Prince Boateng around, we are going to the medal zone”

he added.

Moses Cofie who is on holidays in Ghana after the season has ended

in Sudan tasked Ghanaian footballers to train hard and be disciplined as the

World Cup can open great doors for them.

He also charged businessmen and women and other professionals who

will be in Brazil for the World Cup to take all the advantages and come home to

implement the positives of the World Cup.

“I hear Brazil is a hard place to live with many challenges in

language, accommodation and the economy in general is not easy, but I know my

people can survive everywhere on earth and produce the best results” he said
