Ebusua Dwarfs coach JE Sarpong would welcome a proposal to have the number of Premier League clubs increased from 16 to 18. GHANAsoccernet.com revealed on Monday plans by the Ghana FA to present to Congress proposal to have the number increased as a means of finding a lasting solution to the legal battle that has bedeviled the FA.
King Faisal have dragged the FA to court, challenging their demotion from the country’s top-tier league.
The FA plans to reach a compromise with Faisal for out of court settlement and will propose an eighteen league system to accommodate the Kumasi-based side and Ebusua Dwarfs.
JE Sarpong says he will welcome the move if it is rectified and approved by Congress.
“Of course we’re preparing for the start of the division one and if we get a window of opportunity to come back to the Premier League, why not? he asked “But we’re not banking our hopes on that but I think it looks like a fine proposal.
“We’ll just be waiting to see how it goes.”
Dwarfs got relegated last season after a turbulent season.
