The main sponsor of this year’s Ghalca Top 4 competition, Coca-Cola Company (Gh) Limited has presented sports kits worth 1.3 million cedis and a giant trophy to all four participating clubs of this year’s tournament. The kits which include two sets of jerseys each for the clubs and goalkeepers gloves is intended to identify with them, as well as promoting the brand, Coca-Cola.
In an interview with the Marketing Manager of Coca-Cola Company (Gh.) Limited, Mr. James Boateng, he disclosed that the presentation was aside the initial commitment of 1.2 billion cedis given to the organizers, Ghalca for the tournament. He also stressed that so far, Coca-Cola is very much satisfied with the level of commitment shown by the four clubs; Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, King Faisal and Liberty Professionals and has therefore signed a three-year agreement with the Ghana League Clubs Association to sponsor the tournament for the next three years. He further called on the media partners, the clubs, the organizers and all stakeholders including fans and supporters to ensure that this year’s tournament becomes a real success.
Meanwhile, the tournament which kicks off on Wednesday, January 21 has Accra Hearts of Oak playing against Kumasi King Faisal at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the other encounter coming on at the Kumasi Sports Stadium between the Porcupine Warriors, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Liberty Professionals.
