Cape Coast, May 7, GNA - Elmina Coconut Grove Sharks brightened their chances of gaining promotion to the elite division when they whipped Assin Dompim Alpha Stars 4-1 in the on-going Central Region Division Two Middle League at Robert Mensah stadium at Cape Coast. Coconut Grove Sharks took absolute control of the game right from the blast of the referee's whistle and scored three unanswered goals through Joseph Adade, John Amuzu and Isaac Quainoo in the first half of the game.

Coconut Grove Sharks took absolute control of the game right from the blast of the referee's whistle and scored three unanswered goals through Joseph Adade, John Amuzu and Isaac Quainoo in the first half of the game. Alpha Stars' midfielder Davis Amoah, who played a yeoman's game scored a consolation goal for his side in the 70th minute when he rounded up the defenders of Coconut Grove Sharks to record their only goal. Amuzu was on target to register his personal second goal when he sneaked through an off-side trap set by Alpha Stars to bring the full time score to 4-1 in favour of Coconut Grove Sharks. In another encounter, Mankessim Mir F/C whacked Breman United 3-1 to also better their position in the league table.
