Former Genoa youth team coach Mario Donatelli has urged Ghanaian holding midfielder Isaac Cofie to return to his former club Chievo Verona.
The Genoa midfielder could leave the Italian Riviera to go back to Chievo - the club with which he made name two seasons ago.
“In recent seasons the player has established himself despite his young age and has shown to be in this category. He might have needed more continuity. A return to Chievo, where he might feel more confident, would definitely be good,” Donatelli told TMW.
“Yes, with Euginio Corin he could do well. The coach at Chievo knows him well, his quality could really come out. Cofie can excel and rise more in Chievo, he has good technical qualities combined with physical means and the seriousness that everyone knows.”
The 21-year-old enforcer is also on the radar of his former clubs Sassuolo and Torino as well as German side Frankfurt.
