Confusion Over Owusu Abeyie

Quincy Owusu Abeyie's agent Brian Berkleef has just denied to a Dutch newspaper - The Telegraph - that Owusu will play for Ghana.

Owusu was called up to play for Ghana in the friendly against Nigeria and he accepted the call to play for the country where his parents are form.


''Absolutly rubbish. Quincy was approached by Ghana during his holiday in the country. He was really proud about that, but he said that he still prefers the Dutch National team.'' says Berkleef.

''Quincy wants to play the European Championship at U23 level this summer and he is still waiting for a call up against Russia U23 which is going to take place in 2 weeks time. ''
