Elmina Sharks coach Kobina Amissah has rejected the favourites tag ahead of the start of GN Bank Division One League this weekend.
The team, owned by renowned Ghanaian politician and business mogul Paa Kwesi Ndoum, are tipped to qualify from Zone II after an impressive pre-season.
Sharks recorded mixed results against Premier League sides Medeama, Berekum Chelsea, Asante Kotoko, Aduana Stars and Bechem United,
They also put up impressive performances against Planners FC, Aristo Academy (Nzema), Young Chelsea, Samartex.
But the club's Brazilian-trained coach, does not want to get carried away by their off-season form.
"Pre-season is not a reality but to your acts together so we have prepared hoping that when the league starts. What we did last year is gone so we must focus on this season but the target is to qualify,” Amissah told GHANASoccernet.com
Elmina Sharks will begin their campaign against King Faisal at home on Sunday.
