AshantiGold goalkeeper Robert Dabuo insists his relationship with Fatau Dauda is cordial despite being benched by the former Ghana first choice goalkeeper at the club.
Dabuo is yet to play full-throttle since the return of Dauda, with the ex-Orlando Pirates gloves man given the nod in all high profile pre-season games so far. Dauda was again impressive in post as AshGold beat New Edubiase in the Adansi Cup on Sunday.
“This is our profession and whoever is given the nod it’s our duty to support him in the interest of the team,” Dabuo said.
“I have a very good relationship with Dauda and we all learn from each other. “I believe it’s a long season ahead and we will all get our chances at some point in time.”
Dauda is expected to make Avram Grant’s preliminary squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
