Ghana defender Daniel Opare will leave Portuguese giants Porto this summer and it is the reason why he has been left out of the first team squad for pre-season, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The right-back has been made to train with the second side of the club which sparked fears that he does not feature in the first team plans of the club ahead of the start of the new season.
However, a key member of the Porto staff has told Ghana’s leading football news website GHANAsoccernet.com that the Ghanaian has not been left out of the first team because of performance.
Opare has been left out of the squad for the pre-season tour of Germany because he is angling for a move away from the club after several clubs expressed interest in him.
So for Opare this is the signal that he is leaving the Portuguese giants.
In January this year the 24-year old Ghanaian was loaned to the Turkish side Besiktas where he excelled and has got several clubs in Turkey and England interested in him.
Besiktas want to sign him permanently, but for now no agreement between the two clubs has been found.
Porto manager Julen Lopetegui will take a decision on Opare when he returns to Portugal.
