Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda is expected to man the post for Orlando Pirates against Mpumalanga Black Aces on Wednesday as first-choice custodian Senzo Meyiwa serves suspension.
Meyiwa is serving a one-game suspension after picking his fourth booking of the season during their 1-0 win over Moroka Swallows on Saturday for time-wasting.
Pirates coach Vladimir Vermezovic is confident that the Black Stars shot-stopper will live up to the task ahead, despite spending most part of the season warming the bench.
“We have big squad and Dauda is very much ready for action for the game against Aces,” Vermezovic told KickOff. “We have enough cover. Dauda will come in for Meyiwa and Ntsikelelo Nyauza will replace Jele.”
Dauda has featured twice for the Buccaneers since joining them last summer and would hope to make the best out of Wednesday night’s outing at the Orlando Stadium against an in-form Aces.
