Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda will be dropped for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations double-header against Uganda and Togo with John Boye expected to stage a return, according to reports in the local media.

Dauda, who currently plays for Ashantigold will lose his place in the team with Norwegian-based Adam Kwarasey, expected to take his place.

The former Orlando Pirates shot-stopper will be sacrificed for his inactivity at club level with Maxwell Konadu expected to keep faith with Stephen Adams and Spain-based Razak Brimah.

According to the Ghanaian media, defender John Boye will take his place in the team after recovering from an injury with Kwaben Edusei likely to be dropped for the qualifiers.

Lorient striker Jordan Ayew will be included in the set-up despite been ruled out of the game against Uganda as he will be eligible to play against the Hawks in Tamale.

The Black Stars are firmly sitting comfortably at the summit of the table with eight points, two more than second-placed Togo.
