Cape Coast, Feb. 7, GNA - The Central Regional Division Two Super Zonal soccer tournament would take off at the Robert Mensah sports stadium on Sunday, February 12.
The decision was arrived at by the representatives of the eight participating clubs at a meeting presided over by Mr Mathew Doe, the Central Regional Chairman of Ghana Football Association at Cape Coast. According to fixtures released by the association after balloting, Twifo United will clash with their arch rivals, Denkyira United in the opening match while Winneba C.K. Gyamfi Academy vie with Agona Mensakrom Alpha Stars in the second match on the same day.
Winneba Kampsite will clash with Efutu Youngsters while Nyankomase Ahenkro Atandanso Royals meet Eyisam Lumumba Stars on Monday February 13. Mr Doe commended the participating clubs for their hard work and asked them to comport themselves during the tournament. He warned club chairmen to refrain from influencing match officials to handle matches in their favour.
