Accra, Nov 21, GNA - Ratomir Djukovic, trainer of Ghana's national football team, the Black Stars on Saturday flew out to his native Serbian Montenegro for a week's vacation.

The coach who led the Stars to a triumphant 3-1 win over the Saudi Arabian national team less than a week ago, is expected back in Ghana by the close of the week to commence preparation towards next January's African Nations Cup to be staged in Egypt.

Djukovic, according to information gathered by the GNA Sports is expected to present a comprehensive preparatory programme on his return that would see the Stars fine- tune with some high profile friendlies ahead of the continental fiesta.

The former Rwandan coach enjoyed about a month's vacation in Serbia after guiding the Ghanaians to pick the Group's sole slot in the FIFA World Cup qualifier with a 4-0 drubbing of Cape Verde at Praia. His vacation was, however, cut short to enable the Stars engage their first opponent's from Asia since the historic qualification in October.

The Stars are 'housed' alongside Nigeria, Senegal and Zimbabwe in Group D in the Egypt competition, which the host, Ghana and Cameroon would be attempting to win for the fifth time when the competition commences on January 20.

The Serbian attracted the soccer world's attention in the last Nation's Cup by providing the Rwandans a maiden qualification with a performance that saw them brushing aside Ghana and Uganda among others for the single slot.
