Dong Bortey Gets Hamburg Trial Offer

Accra Hearts of Oak’s leading striker, Bernard Dong Bortey is set to begin another trial stint with German Bundesliga side, HSV Hamburg.

Bortey whose been on countless trials stints in Europe failed his bid to land a contract in Turkey after Ankaragucu slammed the door on his desperate bid of club searching.

The Black Meteors player together with Emmanuel Osei left for trials with Ankaragucu a couple of weeks ago but the former Maxbees player was signed on by the Turkish club leaving Dong Bortey to continue searching for a foreign club.

JOYSports enquires has revealed that Dong Bortey was expected to fly direct from Turkey to Germany but due to traveling procedures had to return to Accra to process his traveling documents with the German Consulate.

Former Ghana coach, Ralf Zumdick who is now the assistant coach of HSV Hamburg is believed to be the linkman behind Bortey’s new attempt of grasping a foreign contract.
