Black Satellites' combative midfielder, Godfred Donsah is 19 years old today June 7, and it's a birthday he may cherish for a long time to come.
Loads of love messages and well wishes have been heaped in avalanches on the youngster who has marshaled the midfield for Ghana's U-20s currently battling at the FIFA world youth championship in New Zealand.
"Happy birthday! Wishing you all the fun and excitement that only birthdays can bring, " one Samson Antwi wrote in a well designed card posted in Donsah's Facebook timeline.
"Happy birthday to you may you live to see your great grandchildren, happy happy birthday," another fan, Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed took it a step further whilst one Ernest Attipoe added fondly: "Happy birthday midfield general."
A fourth fan, Abdul Rahim Niiarmah was more cautious.
"Happy Birthday to you Godfred Donsah enjoy your day to de fullest. Chill but don't freeze ooh," he warned.
Not to be left out was the player's agent, Oliver Arthur who is using Donsah's photograph as his profile picture on Whatsapp along with the status: "HBD, on this day I pray for success in the U20 World Cup."
Donsah of course will be in action with the Black Satellites on Wednesday when Ghana clash with West African rivals, Mali in the round of 16 in New Zealand 2015.
Sellas Tetteh and his lads are chasing a second trophy at this level after landing Africa's first and still only FIFA U-20 World Cup success in 2009.
