Borussia Dortmund?s striker hopes rest on the shoulders of Matthew Amoah (25). His coach Bert van Marwijk (53) states the Ghanaian international "would have scored once or twice in each of our recent matches." The newcomer who trained with his new team for the first time on Tuesday after a knee injury gave the following interview to German tabloid BILD.

Mr. Amoah, how do you feel in Dortmund? Amoah: I feel good, BVB is a great club with a fantastic stadium, my old team in Arnheim drew at the most 25,000 fans. The switch to Dortmund was definitely the right choice.

You came back with a knee injury from the African cup of Nations, when do we expect to see you in a BVB jersey?

Amoah: I trained with the team for the first time on Tuesday, which went well, now I hope I will play against Mainz this Saturday.

Things currently aren?t going well with the Dortmund strikers. Many are pinning their hopes on "Amoah, the sharpshooter"...

Amoah: I feel no pressure and since I don?t understand any German I have no idea what is being said about me. But I know what I can do, yes I?m a goal scorer, I am fast and can head the ball fairly well. And I can also play behind the strikers.

With his knee injury being history, Matthew Amoah hopes to play in his first Bundesliga game against FSV Mainz 05 and states: "I know what I can do."
