The Shanghai SIPG star picked up the knock in Ghana's 3-2 win over Congo on Tuesday after coming on as a substitute.
Gyan, with his right knee heavily strapped sat out the team’s training session on Thursday and Allsports.com.gh understands the team doctor is not optimistic over his chances of recovering in time to face Bobby McKinstry's Amavuba.
Allsports.com.gh also understands fluids were drawn from the knee to keep swelling down.
