15 August 2004, The draws of the final tournament of the 4th CAF Women Championship will take place on Tuesday 17 August, 11.00 am, at the Sandton Sun Hotel in Johannesburg.
The eight teams, which are Algeria, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, South Africa, Zimbabwe, will be drawn into 2 groups of 4. South Africa are seeded in Group A as host country, and Nigeria in group B as defending Champion.
Cameroon and Ghana are seeded in two different groups A or B , due to their performance in women competitions.
Media representatives are invited to attend the draw ceremony. The Draw will be conducted by two CAF Directors: Football Development and Communications, including SAFA Officials and representatives of the qualified countries.
The 4th Women final tournament is expected to kick-off from 18/09/2004 to 02/10/2004 in South Africa.
