Duodu announces squad for Sudan Match

Acting national team coach Osam Duodu has called on the services of five foreign-based stars for the nation's World Cup qualifier against Sudan. The match, which will be played in Accra next Sunday, will link the five foreign-based players with the 18 who are based locally.

Among the five are Nii Odartey Lamptey who plays for the Shandong Club in China, Charles Amoah of Sturm Graz, Emmanuel Duah of Uniaro Liera, Baffour Gyan who plays for Slovan Liberec and AC Parma's Stephen Appiah.


Duodu has called up the bulk of his local players from Obuasi Goldfields with the rest from Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.


From Obuasi Goldfields are Isaac Boakye, Princeton Owusu-Ansah, Yaw Owusu, Kofi Amoako, Nana Arhin-Duah, Kenneth Ababio, Aminu Musa and Stephen Amo.

Hearts of Oak are represented by Jacob Nettey, James Nanor, Amankwah Mireku and Charles Taylor while Asante Kotoko's involved players include Osei Boateng, Isaac Owusu and Godwin Ablordey.


Other players called up include Essilfie Fatau of Great Olympics, Real Tamale United's Hamza Mohammed and Issa Mohammed of Sekondi Hasaacas.
