Essien to face former club Real Madrid on Tuesday

Ghana midfielder, Michael Essien is in line to face his former club, Real Madrid in the Dubai Football Challenge on Tuesday evening.

The 31-year-old is part of the Milan team that is currently in Dubai to play against the reigning European champions in an exhibition match at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai.

Essien spent the 2012/2013 season on loan at the Santiago Bernabeu from Chelsea before signing an 18-month deal with Milan.

Another Milan player who will be facing his former side is Diego Lopez, who spent one and half year at Real Madrid.

Real Madrid and AC Milan are the most successful clubs in Europe as they boast of 17 European/Champions League titles between them.
