Eto'o Fils wins top scorer award

Accra, Feb. 10, GNA - Cameroon's striker, Samuel Eto'o Fils emerged the top scorer of the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, which ended on Sunday, February 10, at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra.

Eto'o Fils who scored five goals in the three week tournament also broke an age-long record set by Ivorian national Laurent Poku. Eto'o ended the Poku record as the only player to have scored 14 goals in the Nations Cup.

The Cameroonian has thus become the tournament's highest scorer ever with 16 goals.
