Ex Ghana striker Edward Acquah dies

Legendary ex Ghana striker Edward Acquah has died on Wednesday at age 76 after battling a long illness.

Nicknamed ‘Mr. Sputnik’ for his ferocious strikes rose to prominence following the fearsome striking partnership formed with Wilberforce Mfum.

This formidable partnership was integral in Ghana’s run to its first Africa Cup of Nations title on home soil in 1963.
