Deputy Sports Minister Joseph Yamin is disappointed with FIFA’s decision to allow Egypt to host the Black Stars in the return leg of the World Cup playoff in Cairo.

The world football governing body ruled it is satisfied with the assurances given by the Egyptian authorities for the November 19 clash to go ahead in the capital despite security concerns.

FIFA has also granted Egypt’s request to allow for their fans to enter the stadium to see the game – which will be the first time throughout the qualifying series.

Many Ghanaians are unhappy with this even though the Ghana FA insists they are not bogged down by the outcome.

“It came as a surprise to me especially when FIFA allowed their fans to see the game,” Yamin told Happy FM.

“All of Egypt’s qualifying games have been played behind closed doors. “But for some reason FIFA believes it should allow for the fans to come into the stadium to see their side lose again.

“I don’t think there is a way for Egypt to score five unanswered goals. It is a possibility but that won’t happen.

“So it is now up to us to prepare well. We will meet as a group to fashion out plans for the game.”
