RTU, a minute later nearly shocked the homesters with a beautiful inter-positional play upfront, however, Fatawu Mohammed failed to beat goalkeeper Osei Boateng as the goalie rushed to grab the ball after the striker intercepted a pass in the midfield and went on a solo effort. In the second half, Faisal brought on Prince Arkoh for injured Abedi Sarfo, but the change did little to change the course of the game as both teams concentrated their play in defence and occasionally made some incursions at goal through counter-attacks. RTU's Sumaila Yahya was red-carded in the 73rd minute for rough play but Faisal could not utilise the numerical advantage as poor shooting at goal deprived them of the maximum three points.
