Black Stars number one goalie, Fatau Dauda is seeking to make a return to his former club AshantiGold for the 2014/15 premiership in Ghana.
Dauda, who abrogated his contract with his South African club, Chippa United, on Thursday, placed a call to the Chief Executive Officer of Ashgold, Kudjo Fianoo to inform him about his intentions of re-joining the miners.
The goalkeeper who has struggled to be consistent in post since joining the South African league side will be seeking to re-launch his career in Ghana.
Fianoo, confirmed in an interview with Happy Fm, that, the player will be joining them for the new league season.
He said with the registration yet to be over, the player will be considered for a slot in the team.
The CEO could however not confirm whether, the goalie will be made the first choice, saying “I am not the coach”.
Dauda, was part of Ghana’s team for the 2014 World Cup in Brasil, and manned the post against Germany and Portugal.
