Feyenoord beat Dwarfs 2-1

Gomoa Fetteh based Feyenoord on Wednesday recorded their second victory in the on going Sub-Middle League as they defeated Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1 when the two teams locked horns at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Fetteh boys who fought from a goal down dominated the game and could have recorded more goals had the attack pivoted around Nafiu Abdul Idduissu shown precision upfront.

Dwarfs who lost their first game to Gold Stars, thereby giving their opponents a comparative advantage scored first in the seventh minutes through Alawe Rasidi.

Playing like wounded Lions, the Coach Sam Arday boys fought for the equaliser, contesting each ball at every department of the game and their hard! work paid off, a minute to end the first half.

Nana Asare Akwasi brought the scores at par when he placed a deceptive low grounder from the edge of the box beyond the reach of goalkeeper Muniru Mohammed after receiving a through pass in their opponents' defensive third.

When the second half got underway, Feyenoord pursued the winner and grabbed it five minutes into the game when Yakinu Iddi set the stadium alight with a dazzling dribbling run into his opponents' defence, tearing four defenders apart on the trot.

He planted the ball in an acute angle at the far post, a goal, which won them the maximum points.

Finding the going tough, Dwarfs resulted to rough play and substitute Richard Dawson received the matching off orders from referee Simon K. Doku of Keta for violent conduct in the 65th minute.

Both teams introduced fresh limbs into the game and the victors thrived on their numerical advantage and car ried out series of onslaughts on their opponents' vital area, but poor shooting on the part Isaac Borketey Bortey, Asante Micheal and Danladi Sheriff saved Dwarfs from humiliation.
