Feyenoord signs Abubakari

Feyenoord have moved to sign Mohammed Abubakari after he impressed at the club's academy in Ghana.

The 19-year-old midfielder has worked his way through the academy, which is supported by Unicef, and he has been interesting the Rotterdam giants for some time.

Feyenoord have now stepped in to hand Abubakari a contract and he becomes the first player to make the jump from the academy to De Kuip.

Abubakari has already represented his country at Under-21 level and is expected to flourish in Rotterdam.
