Accra, April 30, GNA - Mr. Neil Armstrong Mortagbe, FIFA Instructor and Chief Executive Officer of Krypton Global Limited, has urged the youth to take up careers that are of immense interest to them to have fulfilled lives.

He said most people pursued goals and careers that they were not passionate about and end up failing in their chosen careers. "The more passionate you are about your career, the more likely it is that you will ultimately succeed in that career," he added. Mr. Mortagbe was speaking at a career seminar organised by the management of Krypton Global Limited under the theme, "My Dream Career Genesis Seminar" in Accra to educate the youth about what they need to know in pursuing a career.

He explained that the seminar was organised to guide the youth and people already in the corporate world on how to better pursue a career that suited their personality make-up and passion.

Mr Mortagbe noted that most young people failed to achieve their career aspirations because they were ignorant about what they should know about their chosen career, and therefore pursued careers not for the love of the career but because other people were pursuing it. "Most of us spend time chasing goals and careers we are not cut out for; follow your passion to bring you the reward that you deserve," he added.

He advised the youth to have personal vision statement to guide them to work towards achieving their goals.

Mr Mortagbe noted that only few people were able to work effectively to achieve their goals, and tasked the youth to aspire for challenging and realistic goals while they became enthusiastic about bringing these goals to fruition.

He called on the youth to cultivate a reading and learning culture to broaden their perspective of the world to remain competitive in the job market.
