GAIS, Swedish premiership side, has invited four young and talented players from Frankfurt Academy on a month trials.

Scouting Talents local scout, Joseph Epton in Ghana, spotted these exceptional talented players first during the Mylik Classic U19 tournament last November held at Carl Reindorf Stadium and explained in his Scouting Reports that those players could develop into real quality players.

Now, European clubs have shown their interest and Swedish Premiership (Allsvenskan League) Club GAIS are the first ones to trial the players.

Fredrick Sarpong, Godfred Appiah, Zeeni Yussif and Samuel Edo(pictured) are the four players hoping to impress the Swedish club GAIS.

All players have been trained and developed at Frankfurt Academy, Akwatia of Ghana. Frankfurt Academy participated in the Dana Cup in Denmark, Gothia Cup in Sweden as well as Norway Cup in Norway during the year 2003 and were - Champion U-15 ? Norway Cup ? Norway, Champion U-14 and 15 Dana Cup ? Denmark and 3rd place U-14 Gothia Cup ? Sweden.

Last Sunday, in their first trial match against an U19 Regional Selection of Gothenburg all players appeared. The match finally ended 7-0 and Frankfurt academy trialist Godfred Appiah scored 4 goals in this match.

The players were also observed by Swedish Club scout Daniel Aman during the last tournament played in Europe, the Aberdeen Cup during the summer.

  • Godfred Appiah is the icon in the attack for Frankfurt Academy and in 2003 was spotted by a Swedish scout at the U-14 Gothia Cup in Sweden. Godfred became top scorer of the tournament and also was awarded the best player in the U15 Dana Cup in Denmark. He showed tremendous performances in attack and scored many beautiful goals which attracted the scout to follow Godfred Appiah?s development. Godfred is excellent in one-on-one situation, runs at top speed and dribbles well to unlock and torment the opponent?s defense.

  • Samuel Edo also impressed so much in the 2002 Dana Cup that he was voted Best Player Dana Cup, Denmark. Samuel shows excellent technical and tactical qualities and also attracted the interest of many clubs. Very quick on the ball, runs at top speed and has the ability to change direction at a glance.

  • Zeeni Yussif is an offensive midfielder and exceptional playmaker for Frankfurt Academy, Ghana. He has abundance technique, skills, speed and is a good dribbler. Great ball controls and protecion. Excellent dribblings and creates space to unlock and torment the opponent?s defence.

  • Fredrick Sarpong is a good distributor of the ball and has great passing skills. Frederick was the inspirational captain of Frankfurt Academy during their European tournaments in Europe. Fredrick contributed so much to lead his team to win 2002 and 2003 European tournament in which Frankfurt Academy participated.
Our Local scout, Joseph Epton, will give readers current updates of the progress of the four trialist at GAIS in Sweden.
