The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has cautioned club officials, players, match officials and spectators that it will deal ruthlessly with anyone who flouts the rules and regulations of the association.

A release issued in Accra and signed by Mr. Kofi Nsiah, General Secretary of the GFA, said the GFA has learnt with dismay from a video clip a nasty incident in the Division One League match between Mighty Royals and Heart of Lions played on Monday Jan 13, 2003.

According to the statement, the incident does not augur well for the development of Ghana football.

He said the GFA would not allow events that could lead to disasters such as the May 9, 2001 in which more than 120 soccer fans lost their lives.

In a related development the GFA has also asked the Disciplinary Committee to meet twice a week to deal with disciplinary issues that may arise from the division one matches.
