The Ghana Football Association has rejected reports that they have received proposals to play Japan and Mexico in friendlies next month.

The Ghanaian media reported widely on Friday that the two countries have been in touch with the GFA to play the matches in June.

It was later reported that the GFA has rejected the proposal to play the two countries to concentrate on taking on Kenya.

But the GFA says it has not received any proposal to play the two countries let alone examine them.

“We have not received any offers from anywhere to play Japan or Mexico,” Ghana FA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara told Hot FM on Saturday.

“We have also not approached Japan or Mexico to play them in friendlies in June. “If we have not received any offers how can we reject them?” he asked.

Ghana has in recent years made Kenya their traditional camping site ahead of crucial encounters due to its location and favorable weather.

Ghana last played Sudan whom they walloped 4-0 in Kumasi.
