GFA to organize marketing seminar

Accra, Oct 14, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is to organize a day's seminar on strategies to promote and market the image and the brand of the association for its members later in the year. The maiden seminar, according to Alhaji Yusif Adams Ibrahim, Chairman of the Executive Council would focus on ways to package the FA to attract the needed attention from corporate bodies in their quest to promote its image.

"We would be learning on ways and strategies to magnetize and keep sponsors who can assists us promote the GFA brand and our programmes". He told the GNA Sports that the programme is expected to receive patronage from resource persons who would treat topics like "football clubs as limited liability companies, Stock Exchange and Listing, resources and financing football clubs in Ghana as well as the role of the media in marketing the global leather".

The Chairman said participants would comprise all members of the Executive Council, the Regional Football Associations, (RFA) selected members from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and representatives from the Schools and Colleges.

Alhaji Ibrahim said the colloquium under the theme: "Ghana at the crossroad, obstacles and possibilities" would aim at finding solutions to some problems confronting the FA.

He told the GNA that recommendations of the seminar would be implemented to the letter by the organization.

"It is the intention of the association to implement the blueprint which would come out of the recommendations".

The Chairman was pregnant with optimism about the impact the programme would have on the participants when he said, "I am very positive about what this programme will do for the association's desire to promote and market the game at the highest level".
