The Ghana Football Association has expressed worry over the lengthy stay of Black Stars coach Avram Grant outside the country.
Communications Director of the GFA Ibrahim Saanie Daara also stated that the coach's continuous absence from league centres in the country is also a concern to the FA.
The 60-year-old Israeli trainer prefers to remain in Europe to monitor Ghanaian players since he does not believe in relying on a scouting software to observe their performance.
“It worries us a lot that he doesn’t stay here for too long. He is saying that the league is on break so he won’t have much to do. That could be a good excuse. But, when the league starts, then he would have to stay in the country.
“It’s true most top Ghanaian players are abroad. But, even if he stays and does not get any local player for his Black Stars team, his presence alone could be an encouraging factor to the local players,” Daara told Starr Sports.
Grant immediately left for England after a press conference at the GFA Secretariat last week.
