GHALCA announces award winners of Top Four

Accra, April 11, GNA - Kpando Heart of Lions won most of the awards of this year's Coca-Cola Top Four soccer tournament.

Bob Zeo of Lions won the Overall Best Player award as well as the joint Goal King award with Ben Wilson of King Faisal.The two of them scored three goals each in the tournament.


Heart of Lions Jerry Akamenko and Sadat Abukari won the Best Defender and Discovery of the Tournament awards whilst the Best Goal Keeper award went the way of Hearts of Oak's Mohammed Sannie.


Mr Kudjoe Fianoo, Administrative Manager of the Ghana League Clubs Association announced this in a Press release copied to the GNA Sports. He said the proud winners would be presented with their awards at the Coca-Cola Top 4 Awards Night to be held at the Novotel Hotel, Accra on April 15 at 7: pm.

Abubakar Yahuza of King Faisal won the Most Beautiful Goal of the Tournament award with Justus Agbeko winning the Best Referee award Lions became the new champions of the GHALCA Top Four Tournament when they beat Kumasi King Faisal 2-1 at the Kumasi Sports stadium in the last match to top the table with 11 points.


The Top Four clubs that participated in the tournament included Hearts of Oak, King Faisal and last minute substitutes, Real Tamale United (RTU).
