GHALCA appeals to public to bear with hike in gate fees

Accra, April 27, GNA - The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) the clubs participating in the One Touch Top Four matches have appealed to the soccer loving public to bear with them with the hike in gate fees for the matches.

It said the hike in gate fees are aimed at raising for the Clubs for their participation in the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup respectively.

A release issued from the Secretariat of GHALCA copied to the GNA Sports therefore announced new rates for the encounter between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi King Faisal at the El-Wak Sports stadium in Accra on Sunday, April 30.

The rates for the Popular Stand goes for 30,000 cedis with the VIP Annex going for 50,000 cedis while the clash between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Berekum Arsenal at the Sunyani Coronation Park has 30,000 cedis for the Popular Stand, 40,000 cedis for Molemole, 50,000 cedis for the Upper Wings and 100,000 cedis for the VIP. The release reminded the sporting public that every paid-up spectator is entitled to a bottle of soft drinks of any of the Coca Cola brands.

In a related development, Referee Jeffrey Amamoo of Cape Coast has been appointed to handle the Hearts - Faisal encounter at the El-Wak stadium with Eric Addo Gyan of Nsawam and Ibrahim A. Adams of Wa as his assistants.

Daniel Offei of Tema is to be the fourth referee with Albert Agbovi of Koforidua as the Match Commissioner. Referee Charles Dowuona of Accra would handle the Kotoko - Arsenal clash at Sunyani with Nicholas Djomoah of Koforidua and David Laryea of Accra supporting him on the lines.

Francis Osei Nsiah of Kumasi is to be the fourth referee with Adomah Adjei of Sunyani as the Match Commissioner.
