Accra, Jan 28, GNA - The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) will this afternoon hold a crisis meeting to discuss their next line of action with regards to the pull-out of Kumasi Asante Kotoko from the Coca-Cola Top Four Competition.

The meeting, which would be the second crisis meeting of the organisation within a week, according to information gathered by the GNA Sports will deliberate on the number of options available to the Association.

Mr Kudjoe Fianoo, Administrative Manager of GHALCA said among the options at their disposal is to ban Kotoko from participating in subsequent Top Four competitions even if they qualify to do so. He said the other alternatives are to report the conduct of Kotoko to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), since they sanctioned the competition or sue Kotoko at the law court for damages.

Kotoko on Friday pulled out of the GHALCA Coca-Cola Top Four competition citing its dissatisfaction with a decision by a Disciplinary Committee constituted by the Association that declared them losers in their match against Kpando Heart of Lions which ended abruptly last Sunday.

The Committee said that in coming out with its decision last Wednesday where Lions were declared winners, it took into consideration Article 35(a) and (b) of the GFA regulations.

A three-page communiqu=E9 signed by Major Yaw Larson, Chief Executive Officer of Kotoko said that though they believe that their withdrawal would upset the organisers, "no useful purpose shall be served if we continue in the competition with this level of dissatisfaction in us".
