Former Udinese and Ghana midfielder Mohammed Gargo has urged Emmanuel Agyemang Badu to continue his trade at Stadio Friuli amid reports of interest from other clubs.

The 24-year-old has fuelled talks of wanting a move away from Italy, with English sides such as Hull City and Watford making known their intention to table an offer for the Ghana international. However, recent reports suggest that Stoke City are ramping up interest in the former Recreativo de Huelva player.

Badu himself has indicated that he would love to join another club if he lands a "cool" deal.

“Football now is not like the olden days when you would have to stay loyal to a club. It is now all about who can pay and the playing time you are offered,” Badu said in a recent interview.

“I really love Udinese. They give me whatever I want but if the opportunity comes, I would not hesitate to move,” he had insisted.

However, Udinese former great, who is also a Ghanaian, Mohammed Gargo, has made a passionate call on Badu to stay with the Black and White Zebras.

“After almost six seasons at Udinese I know Badu is itching to move to another team. It’s a tough challenge but I would urge him to stay on for some more seasons,” Gargo told Goal.

“Having been there myself for eleven years and captained for six years, I would have wished Badu beat my record.

“However, it solely depends on him and his managers because he still has a lot to offer the club.

Last season, Badu saw his overall Serie A playing time dropped by four matches compared to the 2013-14 season when he played over 28 games. However, he was able to maintain his 20-game starts, making seven substitute appearances.
