George Afriyie has declined an invitation by the Normalization Committee to participate in a debate for the GFA Presidential hopefuls ahead of the upcoming elections.
The Okyeman Planners Bankroller is the only aspirant out of the six vying for the vacant top seat to have turned down the opportunity to sit face to face with his opponents to engage in the battle of ideas.
It remains quite unclear what George Afriyie’s strategy is, but one would have thought a candidate seeking to steer a new GFA administration would have been graceful enough to crave the indulgence of the football fraternity he intends to serve.
In any case, Kurt E.S. Okraku, Amanda Clinton, Fred Pappoe, Nana Yaw Amponsah, and George Ankomah Mensah have all agreed to square off on Monday October 21 at the Physicians and Surgeons Centre in Accra at 6:30 p.m.
The much anticipated debate will broadcast live on GTV, Joy FM, and Happy FM, as well as all affiliate media platforms (radio, television, online, social media) of the three media partners.
The GFA Presidential debate will focus on key areas affecting the development of Ghana football and questions would seek to elicit solutions-based responses from the presidential candidates.
