Contrary to earlier remarks by King Faisal boss, George Amoako to the effect that he has no knowledge about being considered for the vacant C.E.O position at Kotoko, it has emerged that the former Kotoko Finance Manager is certain to be unveiled to the public as the new C.E.O of the porcupine warriors. Barring any last minute hitches, the King Faisal boss! will be given the nod before the year ends.

A reliable source has told CITI FM that the Management of the Asanteman club are almost close to tying up some knotty issues with respect to the agreement with Mr. Amoako, which is expected to be finalised before the end of December. Earlier indications that former IMT Chairman, Sylvester Owusu Asare has won the hearts of majority of the Management members and is set to be given the nod has been vehemently denied by a Management member.

Former Accra representative of the club, Mr. Jerry Kwadwo Asare has been left out of the list being considered for the position.

Mr. Amoako, it will be recalled almost resigned from King Faisal last season after an alleged fall-out with Owner Alhaji Karim Grunsah.

He was the Finance and Administrative Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko during the days of Herbert Mensah in the 2002/2003.

It is believed that Mr. Amoako opted out of the GFA race primarily because of the position at Kotoko.
