The Board members of Hearts of Oak on Monday at a meeting had planned to sack the club’s managing director Gerald Ankrah before he tended in his resignation, Starr Sports can confirm.
Ankrah was going to face the sack for non-performance, but got the hint and quickly tended in his resignation and absented himself from the management meeting.
The board on Tuesday will officially release a document on the termination and has told Vincent Sowah Odotei to act in that capacity.
Ankrah was appointed to handle the club some 15 months ago after Neil Armstrong Mortagbe was sacked in September 2014.
Meanwhile, It is is however unclear how Odotei will combine football administration with politics as he will contest the La Dadekotopon Parliamentary seat on the ticket of the opposition New Patriotic Party.
